Bookworm

I can't believe the last Harry Potter book is about to come out. It sort of snuck up on me and I realized I needed to reread the series before my copy arrived - which I have done for every other book. Since Sunday night I have read 1, 2, 3 and am half way through 4. I read mostly while the boys are napping, but they often play together without needing attention from me, so I can read a little while they play. They are very into copying our actions. If they find a spare piece of paper, they run over and put it into one of their books!

Other things they copy are putting toy phones down their shirt (I often use my cleavage as a pocket). Also, they have tried to pick up their plates to eat off them - which confused me at first - until I saw Dan finish off the milk after a bowl of cereal. They love to mimic us with writing utensils, forks and shoes - and love the fact that we finally put pillows in their cribs. Sure brings it home how our actions as parents really influence our children's...

You have no idea! If you want to really know how the world views you, take a look at your kids. It can be frightening sometimes. Every other word out of Eli's mouth is "Whatever". You read the whole series.. I just finished 5, going to the movie tonight, and have started on 6 for the book release next week.. yea..

WOW!!! You must read super FAST!!!! So fun to hear stories of what the boys are up to! ;) Have you introduced utensils yet? We tried bowls, but they both just get them off the tray (suction cup and all) and dump them out. We've tried coloring as well... w/ little success. More crayon eating then crayon on paper! :)
